First footsteps...

Does a small 15 days fling affect you when your a teenager of 14 years??? Yeah i guess so..... especially if you consider it as your first love....sigh.....but before you get me wrong I dint mean everything that includes church bells ringing.

I'm talking about the first kiss, the time spent walking hand in hand and feeling your heart tingle at the name of this guy. Exactly, such beautiful feelings doesn't really live long, so even my journey of this special love lasted only 15 days. Bad luck? you can say it again and again cos I'll agree with you.

But they were the most memorable 15 days........

It all started with the church food fest, I was trying to be busy arranging a candle game near my groups games area. As the programs started, I noticed two guys staring at me. It was kinda weird, I turned away ignoring them. But my intuition kept nagging me about something that was strikingly familiar about one of the two. I was busy watching the participants rack their brains for my games answers. News spreads fast when somebody likes you doesn't it? So many girls (gossipers of course!) started flocking my stall trying to get the juiciest bit of what exactly was going on. When I got wind of the rumors, I was about to escape the crowd but I bumped into this cute guy. One look at him was enough to drive the wind out of my lungs, the first thought was "how cute" and the next impossible thought "not mine" . So i just smiled out of shyness.

To my surprise, he stopped and started to chat wit me. I wanted to jump on to cloud 9 but he kept commenting now and then about how pretty I looked in nothing but 'camp uniform'. Somebody would have called him zonked, but I bought the flattery because it was him!! He noticed I was nervous about something. On asking me the full story, he assured me nothing would happen. Thats when Ms.'I know I want you' appears out of no where, pulling him away from my private moment. I took my queue and left the stall, but little knowing that on the other side of the church, somebody who had planned it all was waiting to put her devious plan into gear. I started talking to my group mates and hanging around, when Ms 'Devious' startled me by telling me to date one of the creepy guys. (well he wasn't that creepy actually, but way older than me!) I was adamant, I had secretly fallen for Mr. Cute, but I had to get out of this situation so I hid myself till Mr. Creepy & gang left.

When I returned to the stall at last, I saw Ms. Devious falling all over Mr. Cute. I ignored that, but as soon as he spotted me, his attention was on me. As I inched closer to them, he took out a shirt and gave it to me saying "I would like you to have this, I won this in a game today", then he started asking me personal questions on "whose my boyfriend?", etc through Ms. Devious. I answered in two or three syllables at a time, soon he noticed me blushing as the conversation continued. Then he motioned his hand towards the back gate, I took the hint and excused myself. He joined me a little later. I was restless and nervous. He told me "I really like you a lot". After much thought, "Yeah o.k.,but right now my legs are aching!" I exclaimed. (gosh!! what a blunder was that!) He made me sit down, then slowly leaning forward he kissed my cheek. I did not know what to say, so he asked me "So what's your reply?". Gasping for some reasoning to enter my head I replied " Yes, I like you too!". So he smiled telling, "Then where s my kiss?" I kissed him slowly on his cheek, convincing myself that it wasn't crime. After some small talk, he said " I got to go, but can you please give me that shirt I gave you? I got to show my dad something that I won." I walked with him till the exit, he turned back waving me goodbye and goodnight. This was one of the best days of my life.

P.S. (...how this beautiful story ends? coming up!....)
